Self Portrait - Phase One Complete

So I began to color my self portrait that I drew. I decided to do a more "fresco" type of technique. The dark blue hair took me one night and that was pretty hard. I still have to fill in the darker parts of the hair and do the rest of the face, shoulder, and background. I also decided to do primary colors for this piece.

Self Portrait...

I've been wanting to do a self portrait of myself for a while now, ever since my birthday. I wanted to start a tradition for myself by doing a self portrait once a year on my birthday. I was so busy this semester, that I never got around to it. But I am going to do it now. So here is the reference that I am going to use for this year's portrait. I also want to do this to see how much my art changed over the years. A little experiment I guess. :)

Screw You YouTube!

Why do they have to change their layout so many times? That's all I really wanted to say... plus...
They always say that it will make your life easier with the new layout, but having to learn a new one all over again is WAY more hard and time-consuming!

So I'm going to vent again...

Like I mentioned in my past blog post, I mentioned that I don't like to be talked to like I am an idiot. Of course I don't think that anyone out there likes to be treated that way. Well. I was in my art class one day and one of our peer mentors, who is supposed to be helping us in any sort of artistic way that we may need. Well one of them basically said to me that if I didn't know where a certain building was then she and I should worry about one of my assignments getting finished this semester. And then I went and told her that I finished that assignment over 2 weeks ago. So yeah that just pissed me off, that she would think so low of me like that and just insult me in such a way, and in front of everyone. Darn it! people just make me so angry!
     *takes a deep breath*
... okay I'm fine...

It gets better, just keep your head up...

I try to keep on telling myself this, because I know that I will eventually get over it. But damn it! I hate working in retail... well it isn't that exactly, I just HATE getting those grouchy old ladies. I've had more rude women come up to my register than men. It's shameful to think that those horrible people are putting shame on the name of our sex.
I shouldn't let it bother me, but I will be having such a wonderful and perfectly fine and mellow day... and then like jaws sneaking up behind me... thar she blows! It's Moby Bitch! And then my day is ruined. They just get so upset about the rules that my store sets and then they get pissed off at me. Then I think to myself, "I'm just a cashier, I can't change the rules." And then I know that they are thinking, "She's just some dumb cashier, she doesn't know what she's doing." And I don't like that. I don't like being treated illy and like I am stupid, because I know that I am not.
I asked my co-worker though and she saids that I will eventually get over it and it won't bother me anymore, which is nice. So I do have hope and I will continue to smile like an idiot and say "you have a good day ma'am" while they are muttering to themselves to where I can hear, "we are never shopping here ever again". Seriously, it's a shame that they can't be the better person and just keep that to themselves and not make me feel like shit.
Okay... I am done venting... for now.

Oh yeah... that hits the spot...

Just finished helping my dad bake some homemade bread. It was amazing! I had 4 rolls and they half of the pan is almost gone and they haven't even been out of the oven for 10 minutes! And a homage is my ancestors with the cute embroidered kitchen towel underneathe. :D

Shoes...

I adore shoes. I wish that I could have so many... well maybe just a few that I don't have now. And these are three that I would adore to have.

MULES

ESPADRILLE-WEDGES

ROCKING HORSE SHOES

I wish I had a bigger...

I wish that I could have a sewing room. Some large space that I can do my crafts and make my art. And without having my dear little sister to help me constantly, just to straighten out my materials so that I can cut out pattern pieces. I also wish that I had a bigger sewing table. The table that I work on is this really small lamp stand and my fabric always falls off the edge and that makes it more difficult to sew. I thank my little sis though for always helping me, without a lot of complaint. (She complains some times.) <3

WASH is coming to an end...

Yes WASH (workshop in art studio and history) is almost over. Just last week we had two art critiques and there is but one project left. It is exciting and sad, but mainly exciting. For my last project I am going to make an 18th century gown out of transparent plastic. Included will be hair, makeup, accessories and undergarments to match all on a white-to-black scale. I will update with photos once I am finished. I hope that everyone had a happy thanksgiving!

Changing up my blog...

So I am changing up my blog a little bit. I will be posting pictures and links on separate pages of which the certain project matches. (DIY, Makeup, Hair... ect.) I want to organize things a little easier and I am still trying to figure some things out with my blog. Since this site, as well as everything else on the planet, is connected to google. And my youtube, which I have a lot more stuff on, than on my blog, and that is connected to yahoo. So everytime I log into either youtube or blogspot, one or the other logs out immediately. So bare with me while I figure things out.
